Why are you appointment-only?

We operate by appointment to provide each customer with our undivided attention. This allows us to:

  • Have your vehicle of interest ready and fully charged
  • Answer all your questions without rushing
  • Provide personalized service and test drives
  • Ensure a relaxed, no-pressure environment

How do I schedule an appointment?

We typically have same-day or next-day availability. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Can I just stop by without an appointment?

We strongly recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure we can properly assist you. Without an appointment, we may not have staff available or your vehicle of interest may not be on-site. However, if you're in the area, feel free to call us - we may be able to accommodate walk-ins depending on availability.

Buying a Vehicle

What is your return or exchange policy?

All vehicle sales are final. We encourage customers to thoroughly inspect and test drive vehicles before purchase. We provide:

  • Free vehicle history reports
  • Pre-purchase inspections welcome (at buyer's expense)
  • Full transparency about each vehicle's condition

Can I take the vehicle to my own mechanic before buying?

Absolutely! We encourage pre-purchase inspections. You can take the vehicle to a mechanic of your choice during your appointment, or we can arrange for a mobile inspection at our location. Inspection costs are the buyer's responsibility.

Do you provide vehicle history reports?

Yes! We provide free Carfax or AutoCheck reports for every vehicle. These reports show:

  • Accident history
  • Previous ownership
  • Service records
  • Title status
  • Odometer readings

How long does the buying process take?

If you're paying cash or have pre-approved financing, the process typically takes 1-2 hours. This includes:

  • Final vehicle inspection and test drive
  • Paperwork completion
  • Payment processing
  • Temporary registration and tags

Electric Vehicles (EVs)

Can I test drive an EV even if I've never driven one before?

Absolutely! We welcome first-time EV drivers. During your test drive, we'll:

  • Explain the basics of EV operation
  • Show you how to use regenerative braking
  • Demonstrate charging port location and operation
  • Answer any questions about EV ownership

Do your Teslas come with Autopilot or Full Self-Driving?

It depends on the specific vehicle. We'll clearly communicate what features each Tesla includes:

  • Basic Autopilot: Standard on 2019+ Teslas (adaptive cruise, lane keeping)
  • Enhanced Autopilot: Navigate on Autopilot, auto lane change, summon
  • Full Self-Driving (FSD): All EAP features plus additional capabilities

Software features transfer with the vehicle and can add significant value.

Do any of your Teslas have free Supercharging?

Some of our older Model S and Model X vehicles may include free unlimited Supercharging that transfers to the new owner. This will be clearly noted in the vehicle listing. Free Supercharging is a valuable perk that can save you thousands over the life of the vehicle.

What charging equipment do I need at home?

All EVs come with a Level 1 charger (standard 120V outlet) which provides about 3-5 miles of range per hour. For faster home charging, we recommend installing a Level 2 charger (240V) which provides 20-50 miles of range per hour. Installation typically costs $500-$2,000 depending on your electrical setup.

How much does it cost to charge an EV?

In California, charging at home typically costs $0.15-$0.30 per kWh. For a Tesla Model 3 driving 15,000 miles per year, expect to pay approximately $600-$900 annually for electricity - significantly less than the $2,000+ you'd spend on gas for a comparable vehicle.

Trade-Ins

Will you buy my car even if I don't buy from you?

Yes! We will buy your trade-in even if you don't purchase a vehicle from us. We often pay more than larger dealerships because we have lower overhead costs. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote on your vehicle.

How do I get a quote for my trade-in?

You can get a trade-in quote by:

  • Bringing your vehicle to our location by appointment

We'll need to know the year, make, model, mileage, condition, and any issues or accidents.

Do you accept trade-ins that aren't paid off?

Yes, we can work with vehicles that still have a loan. We'll need the payoff amount from your lender. If you owe more than the trade-in value, you'll need to pay the difference (negative equity). If you owe less, you'll receive the difference as credit toward your purchase or as a check.

Do you buy cars that don't run?

It depends on the vehicle. We primarily focus on running vehicles, but we may be interested in certain non-running vehicles, especially EVs for parts or battery recovery. Contact us with details about your vehicle and we'll let you know.

After Purchase

How do we register the vehicle?

We provide temporary registration and tags that are valid for 30-90 days. You'll recieve permanant registration, tags, and plates (if nessacary) a few weeks to months after sale in mail. Timeframe varies by DMV handling time.

Do I need to get the vehicle smogged?

Electric vehicles are exempt from smog testing in California. For hybrid vehicles, smog requirements depend on the model year. We'll inform you of any smog requirements at the time of purchase.

How do I transfer the Tesla app to my account?

For Tesla vehicles, we'll help you transfer ownership through Tesla's system. You'll need to create a Tesla account if you don't have one, and we'll initiate the transfer process. This typically takes 24-48 hours to complete.

Can I reserve a vehicle before my appointment?

We don't hold vehicles without a deposit, but we can let you know if a vehicle you're interested in receives other inquiries. A refundable deposit can reserve a vehicle for up to 7 days.

Do you negotiate on price?

We price our vehicles competitively based on market research. We may have some flexibility depending on the vehicle and situation. We're transparent about our pricing and will explain how we arrived at our asking price.
